Try Something New In
Downtown Cartersville This Year

Whether you’re a first time visitor to Downtown Cartersville or have lived here for years, we invite you to try things that you’ve never done before in the downtown district.

Attend Lunch and Learn at the Bartow History Center and learn more about local history.
Go to a lecture or exhibit at the Booth Western Art Museum or attend a performance at the Grand or Legion Theatres.
Have breakfast downtown at the 4-Way, Ross’ Diner, or Jittery Joe's Coffee Shop, or on Saturday at Village Porch Café.
Visit a shop or restaurant you’ve never tried before.
Have a picnic at Friendship Plaza, and read the names on all the memorial bricks.
Explore your creative side, take a pottery, stained glass or painting class or join the Main Street Writers Association.
Get a massage or a new hairdo at a downtown spa.
Shop for a new outfit at: Alex Boutique, Blue Sky Outfitters, Lulu's Boutique, or Psycho Sisters and find great accessories at a dozen shops downtown.
Buy fresh flowers just for the fun of it at Angel’s Florist or Bloomers.
Take a yoga, dance or karate class.
Look for the cornerstones on historic buildings downtown and imagine what life was like 75 or 100 years ago.
Call a friend to go get a cup of coffee or a smoothie. Buy a dessert to go with it.
Visit the welcome center and pick up brochures for things to do in Bartow County. Or check out activities on the website at www.notatlanta.org.
Plan a day or evening outing to downtown and bring friends.
Become a downtown volunteer, call the DDA office for more information about ways to volunteer.
